My wife and I had an architect design a single-story extension to create an open plan dining area at the back of our house.
Once these plans were approved by the local Authority we contacted four local building companies to quote for this work.
From our first meeting with Leigh Murphy @ JLM Brickwork , his professionalism and attention to detail were miles ahead of his competitors. We'd also undertaken some research locally and heard nothing but glowing praise for Leigh's work.
Leigh talked us through each stage of the proposed construction and gave us a payment schedule based on the various build stages which we jointly agreed on.
Work started in August 2022 and was completed in October, on schedule. Leigh coordinated all aspects of the construction, arranged deliveries of all materials including concrete, steel work, bricks, skips and ensuring the construction site was cleared and any rubbish disposed of at the end of each day. Leigh also brought in some specialist trades when required including electricians, plumber, roofers and plasterers.
Leigh consulted with us, offered suggestions on some of the design aspects and brought our plans to life and we are so happy with the final build. The quality of Leighs work is exceptional, he has been a pleasure to do business with and has been professional and trustworthy throughout. Not only is Leigh a master craftsman, he is very personable and creates rapport and inspires confidence and trust.
We would not hesitate to recommend Leigh as I know many people before us have done so already!

After meeting 5 other builders, I invited Leigh over to look at the proposed extension of our home.
